Comedian Will Ferrell will be performing as a DJ with Swedish House Mafia in Chicago in October to raise funds for Cancer For College. The Wintrust Arena will host the event, and tickets have yet to go on sale. In a video posted on social media, Ferrell announced the news while wearing a Swedish House Mafia t-shirt, jokingly drawing the attention of Steve, Seb, and Ax. Ferrell’s participation in the charity event was confirmed earlier this week.

Cancer For College provides support for cancer survivors and is the beneficiary of the proceeds from the concert. As of writing, further details about the event are yet to be revealed. Cancer For College has been in operation since 1993 and seeks to help cancer survivors realise their tertiary education ambitions.

Ferrell, who is famously known for his roles in “Step Brothers”, “Anchorman”, and “Shake and Bake” is not just known for his hilariousness but also for his notable contributions in raising funds and awareness for charitable organisations and charities. Meanwhile, Swedish House Mafia is preparing for a six-week residency at the iconic Ushuaïa venue in Ibiza. The event will take place once a week from the 21st of July up to the 25th of August — featuring the trio of Steve Angello, Axwell, and Sebastian Ingrosso.

Aside from his upcoming performance with Swedish House Mafia, Ferrell recently reprised his voice role in “Despicable Me 4” as villain Maxime Le Mal who wants to achieve world domination but is always foiled by the protagonist, Gru. Ferrell appeared in the movie alongside Steve Carell, Pierre Coffin, and Taraji P. Henson
