A 17-year-old boy is facing multiple charges from Kent Police after a disturbance at the Sri Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara on Thursday. The incident, which also saw two women assaulted outside the building, led police to the scene at 8:10 PM BST. A local teenager was arrested, and police recovered a bladed weapon that was used in the altercation. The police have stated that nobody was seriously injured during the incident.

The unnamed boy has been charged with a series of offences including using or threatening unlawful violence, threats to kill, assault, possessing a bladed weapon in a public place and threatening a person with a bladed article. Police have confirmed that the boy is set to appear in front of the Maidstone Crown Court later this week after being remanded in police custody.

Police have addressed community concerns, assuring locals that the incident is an isolated occurrence. The force also confirmed that patrols in the area will remain in place to reassure the public.
