The wife and two daughters of BBC racing commentator John Hunt were found dead at their home in Hertfordshire on Tuesday evening. Carol Hunt, 61, Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, were discovered seriously injured at their property in Bushey and died at the scene. The police are searching for Kyle Clifford, 26, from the Enfield area, who is wanted in connection with their deaths. Clifford is believed to be in Hertfordshire or north London and is thought to have a crossbow in his possession. The investigation is centered around a targeted attack, and “other weapons may also have been used,” said Ch Supt Jon Simpson.

Ch Supt Simpson held a press conference at Hatfield police station where he stated that their main objective was to locate Clifford, whom they believe is responsible for the murders. The police have deployed significant resources in finding Clifford, with armed police and specialized search teams included in the manhunt. Det Supt Rob Hall urged anyone with information on Clifford’s whereabouts to call the emergency line, adding that Clifford might still have a weapon. He also appealed to anyone who were in the vicinity and may have some information to contact the police immediately.

A local Liberal Democrat councillor, Louise Nicolas, expressed her condolences in a Facebook post, saying that she was “deeply saddened to learn…that three women have lost their lives in a violent incident.” Ms Nicolas urged individuals who required support to communicate with her. The police have asked the public not to enter into speculations regarding the incident until further details are known.

Kyle Clifford left the British army after a short stint of service in 2022, according to BBC sources. The tragedy is still under investigation, and the police are doing everything in their power to find and place into custody the suspect
