With so many options available, choosing which TV show to binge-watch can be an overwhelming task. One way to narrow down the choices is by checking out what’s popular in the world. Recently, many massive television shows have returned to screens, such as House Of The Dragon, a Game of Thrones spin-off, and Bridgerton on Netflix.
While being popular doesn’t always equate to being great, it’s a good indication for finding something relatively light and an easy topic of conversation. With that said, IMDb has compiled a list of the top 10 most popular shows as of July 10, 2024 based on their viewership rankings. At the top of the charts is Amazon’s The Boys, whose fourth season is set to conclude on July 18.
House Of The Dragon and The Bear, which recently returned for their second and third seasons respectively, take the second and third spots respectively. Following these, Star Wars series The Acolyte on Disney+, and the legal thriller Presumed Innocent starring Jake Gyllenhaal tie in the fourth place. Other shows on the list include My Lady Jane, a British fantasy series that is available on Amazon, as well as Netflix’s superhero series, Supacell.
In NME’s review of The Boys’ fourth season, they wrote, “With season five already confirmed, the return of a few familiar faces and a lot of characters confronting their pasts, this season sometimes feels like the set up for an eventual endgame scenario.” Fans will also notice that the spin-off show Gen V is introducing a potentially super-powered biological weapon.
