Robbie Williams surprised his fans at BST Hyde Park by bringing Danny Dyer on stage to perform a version of Blur’s “Parklife”. The song, first made famous by Phil Daniels, saw Dyer taking up the spoken-word parts while Williams replaced Damon Albarn. Dyer also appeared in the show’s opening video sequence in which Williams is seen marching backstage accompanied by the actor and Supergrass’ Gaz Coombes. Meanwhile, Williams also performed a version of “Alright” alongside Coombes, a performance he introduced by paying tribute to the singer-songwriter.

The event was the “Rock DJ” star’s only UK festival appearance for 2024. Williams’ BST Hyde Park residency was boasted by other performers including Kate Nash, Black Grape, and Ben Kidson. The guests for the remaining shows include Shania Twain, Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue, and Stray Kids.

Recently Williams reflected on his past issues with depression and self-harm. He also discussed the importance of being mindful about comments aimed at people in the public eye. The former Take That member confirmed that his dance side project, Lufthaus, would be making their UK live debut at Creamfields 2024.
