Latvian-born, London-raised artist LEGZDINA has unveiled her new single ‘Come Roll With Me’. Known for founding the women-centric open mic series Say It Back, the artist has entered the creative sphere from poetry readings in London. The track mixes soulful, gliding vocals with elements of rap, while spoken word is essential for the track across a liquid drum ‘n’ bass backdrop. Well-known producers Slxm Sol, Piers, and Kesi of Rudimental have helmed the production duties.
The single, which is a dreamlike roller perfect for the summer, highlights the deliberate approach taken to its creation from the outset. According to LEGZDINA, the song was written at a time when she was full of hope and joy about her creative life. She believes that spreading joy is important in a cruel world, and ‘Come Roll With Me’ is a reflection of this. The message behind the track is that nothing is perfect but everyone can join her on a journey where she will share any light she has. The track, which is about self-reflection and acceptance, speaks about the importance of creating beauty out of experiences.
