Foster the People has taken matters into their own hands by releasing a remix playfully referred to as the “Battle of the Houdinis.” Initially introduced as a track on 2011’s ‘Torches’, Dua Lipa later released her own song with the same title as the lead single for ‘Radical Optimism’. Eminem is the most recent to release a song titled ‘Houdini’ in May to mark his upcoming album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’.

As seen in a post shared on social media, Foster the People have created a remix of all three songs, referencing Charli XCX and jokingly saying “we worked it out in the remix” in the caption, in a nod to the ‘Girl, so confusing’ remix with Lorde. The artists on the remix are currently busy, and Foster the People will release their newest album, ‘Paradise State of Mind’ next month, marking their first since 2017’s ‘Sacred Hearts Club’.

Lipa was the first artist to headline Glastonbury this year, where NME gave a four-star review of her performance, saying: “The atmosphere created just moments into the set is undoubtedly one of Lipa’s biggest strengths, with the feel-good energy becoming the core of this career-defining moment. The crowd passionately sing back each word while pink flares colour the sky.” She will now perform at Wembley Stadium next summer, on June 20, 2025, with tickets going on general sale soon.

Meanwhile, Eminem recently dropped ‘Houdini’ and teamed up with Babytron and Big Sean on a new ‘Spider-Man’ inspired single ‘Tobey’. Foster will be releasing a remix for the songs titled ‘the battle of the Houdinis’
