Dave Grohl, the frontman of Foo Fighters, was in attendance at Wimbledon tennis tournament with his wife Jordyn Blum. Sporting a clean-cut look in a suit and tie with brown loafers, Grohl was approached by the BBC for an interview whilst at the tournament. During the interview, Grohl gave his predictions for the winners of the tournament, but his answers were slightly awkward as he initially replied with “What?” when asked about the potential men’s champion. When asked again, he simply replied that he had “no clue”. Grohl was then asked about his predictions for the women’s winner, to which he replied, “Couldn’t say.”
Last week, Grohl was seen at Glastonbury Festival watching LCD Soundsystem at the famous music festival. Additionally, Foo Fighters were joined on stage by Geezer Butler for a cover of the 1970 Black Sabbath classic “Paranoid” during their gig at Birmingham’s Villa Park. During the performance, Butler led the band on bass duties, while Grohl ditched the guitar to mimic Ozzy Osbourne’s onstage movements while singing.
Foo Fighters’ recent Manchester concert was highly rated, with a four-star rating, as reviewed by Rishi Shah for NME. Shah wrote: “Approaching thirty years as a band, Foo Fighters have adapted in the face of any adversity, ensuring their stadium show remains cohesive, exemplary and simply untouchable. While others from their time might begin to creep towards legacy act territory, Foo Fighters remain as relevant and imperious as ever – they’re only going to need even more stadiums to fill.
