A YouTuber known as CyberVinLouis has designed an impressive spaceship in Starfield, which is themed after the Razor Crest from the popular TV series, The Mandalorian. Vertical take-off and landing features have been added, which makes it more challenging for other players to achieve. For a player to build this spaceship, they need to be level 60, with skills in piloting rank four, starship design rank four, and 400,000 credits. Additionally, players must download the creations better ship parts flips, better ship parts snaps, and firefly VTOL engine. The Mirror declares this is not a new development in Starfield; fans have been making their favourite ships since the game’s launch. Alien’s USCSS Nostromo, Jedi starfighters, X-wings, Mass Effect’s Normandy Ship SR2 are only a few of the fan-made favourites in the game.
Starfield’s development team also gained some mixed feedback when they released the game’s inclusion of paid mods allowing players to include future mods created by other players. Todd Howard, the Bethesda boss, says that the review bombing of their inclusion was “great feedback” for the company to receive. Howard also appeared to hint that Bethesda may change its paid mods pricing strategy in response to the reaction by the community. In the meantime, the fan-made ships continue to delight players of Starfield.
On the other hand, Grand Theft Auto Online continues to disappoint its fans after the release of a paywall feature to block a highly requested quality-of-life upgrade, which forced players to upgrade and pay to the premium version. Nonetheless, Starfield and its ability to allow players to recreate their favourite sci-fi ships have created a buzz on social media, giving players the opportunity to customize their fleets. Moreover, this trend proves that the game has gained a vast following among science fiction fans who enjoy the game’s open world and modding opportunities
