Slowthai’s trial has been delayed

Last year, Slowthai, whose real name is Tyron Frampton, pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape against a woman in Oxford on September 8, 2021. The rapper was charged with vaginal and oral penetration of a woman without her consent. He denied the charges and claimed that he was innocent. He was subsequently removed from various music festivals and concert line-ups, including Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds. His wife Anne-Marie, who performed at Glastonbury 2024, has not yet commented on the situation.

Frampton and co-defendant Alex Walker were scheduled to stand trial today at Oxford Crown Court, but the trial has now been delayed. Judge Ian Pringle stated that it was impossible to accommodate the trial for this date. A new trial date has been set for November 25 and is estimated to take two to three weeks.
