Taylor Swift dedicates ‘Clara Bow’ debut to Stevie Nicks in Dublin

During the last of her three shows at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 30, Taylor Swift performed ‘Clara Bow,’ from ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ album, for the first time. However, the performance was made extra special as Swift revealed that Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac was present at the arena and proceeded to dedicate the song to her. Nicks is one of Swift’s biggest inspirations and supporters throughout her career. Swift described Nicks as a hero of hers and said that her musician friend helped pave the way for female artists and inspired her to do what she does today.

Swift had arrived in Ireland the previous week, where U2 sent her a bouquet of flowers along with a message that read: “Welcome back to our hometown… leave some of it standing?!!!!.” The singer posted her gratitude towards U2 on Instagram stating that she already felt the Irish hospitality. This was not the only bouquet Swift has received on her travels as both Cyndi Lauper and Chrissie Hynde have expressed admiration towards her in the past week.

Swift is set to make a two-night stop in Zurich after leaving Dublin. From there, she will tour Italy, Germany, Poland, and Austria before returning to London to close the European part of her ‘Eras’ tour. Then she will head to Canada supported by Gracie Abrams.

The ‘Eras’ tour debuted in the UK on June 7 at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, which NME reviewed giving a five-star rating. This is evident in the live setting where the sound of ‘Reputation,’ synth-led and raucous, is accented by the shredding guitars of Swift’s six-piece band and four backing vocalists
