Dua Lipa graced the Pyramid Stage as the headliner for Glastonbury 2024 on June 28. She set the tone for the rest of the weekend’s headliners. Dua Lipa began her highly anticipated set with “Training Season” which she followed up with the Calvin Harris collaboration “One Kiss” and “Illusion”. After that, she performed “Break My Heart,” “Levitating,” and “These Walls”.
She spoke to the crowd after her performance and said, “Little me would be beside herself right now. I know maybe some of you don’t believe in manifestation… but one thing that’s undeniable is magic. This is as close as it gets.” She then brought out Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker to perform “The Less I Know the Better.”
Later on, Dua Lipa performed her fan-favorite songs including “Love Again,” “Pretty Please,” “Hallucinate,” and “New Rules”. Her encore included “Physical,” “Don’t Start Now,” and her closing number, “Houdini”.
The first day of Glastonbury 2024 was full of action with boyband SEVENTEEN making history as the first K-pop group to grace the Pyramid Stage. Irish folk band The Mary Wallopers played Glastonbury for the second year in a row. Paul Heaton and Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) had a mini Housemartins reunion, as they performed the 1986 hit ‘Happy Hour’ during Heaton’s Pyramid Stage set. Bombay Bicycle Club also brought out Blur frontman Damon Albarn as a special guest to perform ‘Heaven’.
