The new Amazon Prime historical series, My Lady Jane, has officially launched on the streaming platform. The show, which is based in historical fact, focuses on Tudor noblewoman Lady Jane Grey and her short-lived claim to the English and Irish throne back in 1553. Despite her notorious nickname of the “Nine-Day Queen”, in the series, Lady Jane saves herself from her fate. A synopsis for the show offers that “King Henry VIII’s son Edward does not die of tuberculosis, Lady Jane Grey is not beheaded, and neither is her rascal of a husband Guildford”.
The eight-episode series features a cast that includes Jim Broadbent, Dominic Cooper, Rob Brydon, Anna Chancellor, as well as Henry Ashton, Jordan Peters, Edward Bluemel, Kate O’Flynn, Isabella Brownson, Abbie Hern, Máiréad Tyers, Michael Workeye, and Joe Klocek. The series is now available on Amazon Prime Video.
In addition to the release of the highly-anticipated series, a full soundtrack has been included. The soundtrack for My Lady Jane’s season one includes nine tracks in total. Featured in the soundtrack are popular artists such as Goat Girl, Black Honey, Lizzie Esau, Griff, and Yonaka.
