Philly-born artist LSDXOXO has announced the release of his first full-length album, “Dogma,” set to drop on September 13. The project will be released via his own label Fantasy Audio Group and is said to explore themes of fame, infamy, lust, and submission. “Dogma” follows the release of two of its singles, “Bloodlust” and “4LUVN,” along with a music video for the latter.
While LSDXOXO has worked on collaborations and remixes with successful artists in the past, such as Lady Gaga and Kelela, “Dogma” sees a return to traditional songwriting as the musician reflects on his emotional experiences without the assistance of features. A press release stated that the album represents a “paradigmatic shift” that uses LSDXOXO’s “musicianship as a chameleonic vocalist and performer” to explore his ability to create music of different genres. It also incorporates a wider range of tools at his disposal, such as guitar and piano.
The album’s announcement and subsequent release arrives amid LSDXOXO’s growing success as one of Berlin’s most promising new artists. He has also been featured in Mixmag, highlighting his unique style, colorful performances, and futuristic approach to music-making. Fans can now pre-save the album and check out the first two singles through a special online link.
As LSDXOXO continues to take the music world by storm, “Dogma” promises to capture the artist’s raw, unadulterated approach to music-making, offering a glimpse into his mind and the emotional journey underlying his work. With “Dogma,” LSDXOXO introduces a new, poetic, and fantastical performance, inviting listeners to delve into a world of deep and personal escapism.
