Ben Prophet announces third EP ‘I NEVER LIKED METAL’

Ben Prophet, a Newcastle-based music producer, has announced the upcoming release of his third EP titled ‘I NEVER LIKED METAL’ through Happy Wax Records. The EP, a collection of four tracks, features hard-hitting, grungey techno with tripped-out vocals, paying homage to Prophet’s previous single ‘King of Rock’. ‘King of Rock’ is also released through Happy Wax Records and “literally changed my life from something that was nothing more than a dream to becoming my full-time career,” as stated on his social media.

Prophet spoke of his excitement over the release, saying: “Over the past year, I’ve been putting together what I feel is my strongest hard-hitting selection of tracks that I possibly could. This EP all fully stemmed from me just trying to take my music to the next level and focusing on breaking some boundaries.” While this is his third EP released through Happy Wax Records, Prophet feels that the label will always be like a family to him and how the excitement of releasing with them again is “some serious buzz!”

Jack Stummer, from Happy Wax Records, shared his thoughts on Prophet and their friendship: “Ben and I’s friendship took off when he shared some demos with me. Among them, one track stood out: ‘King Of Rock.’ I was instantly hooked. My instincts screamed ‘hit’, and within minutes, I messaged him back, eager to sign the track immediately…I’m beyond thrilled to have such a talented artist back on our label roster.”

‘I NEVER LIKED METAL’ EP by Ben Prophet will be available on July 5. The first two tracks on the record can be previewed on Spotify.
