Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour kicked off with a sold-out show at Wembley Stadium on June 21st. Prince William, along with his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, were also present in the audience. Swift later shared a picture of herself, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, on her social media account to wish the future king a happy 42nd birthday. She added in the caption, “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start.”
In 2013, Taylor Swift and Prince William performed together with Jon Bon Jovi at a charity event at Kensington Palace. The trio sang “Livin’ on a Prayer” together. Reunited at Wembley Stadium, Prince William was seen dancing along to one of Swift’s hit songs, “Shake It Off,” during her performance. Videos of the future king dancing and celebrating Swift’s music flowed into social media after the concert took place.
In an interview with NME, Tayor Swift described her London audience as “some of the most supportive people throughout the entire time I have been making music.” She thanked the crowd, who has been behind her since the beginning of her career. “This is a marvel of a show that comes with a beating heart,” said Hannah Mylrea for a review at NME.
Moving forward, Swift is scheduled to perform seven more shows in London. The ‘Eras’ tour gained a strong reaction with a five-star review by NME for her gig at Edinburgh. Swift will continue to perform in various locations and will wrap up her tour in October
