Kancho Club has released a new single called ‘Fyah’ this week. It is the first from a “string of new music” the duo plans to release over the next few months. The track is very different from their earlier releases and offers a more dancefloor-centric experience. It’s a fusion of an infectious vocal sample and a thunderous bassline.
“We wanted to create a deep, driving tune that was full of fierce character and emotion and would be used as a tool to push our audience even further into the dance floor,” the duo said about their latest offering. Kancho Club is a hybrid-live duo hailing from Newcastle. During their DJ sets, they incorporate live instrumentation through percussion and saxophone.
Their studio output, starting from their debut single ‘Say It Baby’ to ‘Cobalt’ and ‘When I Feel’ which were released in 2023, embodies the pair’s prior neo-soul and jazz projects. The focus this time, however, is more dance-oriented.
If you’re curious, they have a session available that showcases their unique blend, which was recorded in Northumberland, where they call home. It is available below. ‘Fyah’ is available now, so check it out here.
