San Remo, one of the stages at the iconic UK music festival, Glastonbury, has announced its plans for the 2024 edition. The beloved stage, constructed to resemble a classic US drive-in motel, is preparing to host another star-studded lineup for this year’s Worthy Farm event. Festival-goers will get to see a wide range of performances from numerous artists, including Job Jobse, Sofia Kourtesis, Daphne, Jayda G, and many others.
San Remo is located within a busy interzone between The Pyramid Stage, Woodsies, and Silver Hayes. It’s described as an excellent combination of music venue, dive bar, and meeting point that feels like it belongs in another dimension. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to see b2b sessions from Peach and Shanti Celeste, performances from Emma-Jean Thackray, Heels & Souls, Deptford Northern Soul Club, and Frederika, among others.
International talents will also grace the San Remo stage, with shows from the Syrian-born, Amsterdam-based Fafi Abdel Nour, Moroccan boogie and synthwave collector Retro Cassetta, and German DJ and Innervisions boss Dixon. San Remo will also host a range of exclusive shows, including a first-ever b2b session from Erol Alkan and Palms Trax, Ross From Friends, and more.
San Remo’s return to Glastonbury was announced through an Instagram post, in which San Remo said, “It is the time of the great return. As the lights go on at the San Remo, pilgrims set their sights on what has become a lightning rod for spiritual traveller — a place where each year tribes come together to find themselves in movement, to commune with the music, and to bacchanal.” Returning acts, including Amateurism radio collective, disco duo Raw Silk, and Noods Radio’s Wasted Space, will also feature in the lineup.
In conclusion, San Remo has announced its lineup for the 2024 edition of Glastonbury. Despite its new surroundings, San Remo has maintained its reputation for combining numerous genres, providing an extensive musical experience, and adding to the unique festival atmosphere at Worthy Farm. Festival-goers can expect to see a wide variety of international and homegrown talent on display
