The Struts announce ‘The Grand Union’ UK and European tour with Barns Courtney

The Struts have announced their upcoming UK and European tour, ‘The Grand Union,’ with singer-songwriter Barns Courtney as their special guest. The UK leg of the tour will begin in September, with the band performing in Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham, and Newcastle, among other cities, before finishing with an anticipated show at the Roundhouse in London on October 6.

Following their UK performances, The Struts will then travel to European cities such as Paris, Berlin, Warsaw, and Prague and perform at Milan’s Fabrique on September 21 for their last show of the tour. The Struts’ partnership with Barns Courtney is nothing new to their fans, as the duo previously toured during their American tour for their fourth album, ‘Pretty Vicious.’

Frontman Luke Spiller shared his excitement about the tour, saying, “We are really looking forward to getting back out and bringing our best show to date alongside our long-term friend and partner in rock, Barns Courtney. It truly is going to be the hottest ticket in town.” Tickets were available starting at 10 a.m. on June 21, and fans can now see all the dates on The Struts’ website.

The Struts played a memorable show at the Download festival this year, which NME rated four out of five stars for this year’s edition. Despite a variety of challenges, including challenges in securing bands and adverse weather conditions, the festival proved successful. The Struts released ‘Pretty Vicious’ in November 2020, and it is their follow-up to their 2020 album ‘Strange Days.’ The band released the record’s lead single, ‘Too Good At Raising Hell,’ to tease the album, which showcased the strengths of each band member.

Spiller spoke to NME in 2021 about his collaboration with Paris Jackson for their duet, ‘Low Key in Love,’ explaining that the duo had already created a relationship and respected each other before working on the song, which resulted in a unique sound. Now, The Struts’ fans can eagerly anticipate their upcoming tour alongside Barns Courtney and the unique blend of their music.
