Saltburn soundtrack LP features “bathwater” liquid-filled vinyl design

Bad World, a company that specializes in liquid-filled records, has caught the attention of fans around the world with its vinyl release of Saltburn Music From The Motion Picture. The design of the record features a plughole in the center, with PVC filled with “bath water” which was inspired by a scene from the Amazon Prime Video black comedy, Saltburn. In this scene, Oliver (played by Barry Keoghan) drinks the bath water of his friend Felix (played by Jacob Elordi) after the latter ejaculates in it.

The “unique” design of the vinyl is the brainchild of Bad World, which also produced a limited-run LP for The 1975’s 2022 album ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’. The vinyl is set to be released in September, but fans have had the pleasure of watching a demonstration of the liquid moving around the record on Instagram’s platform. While the soundtrack itself has resurged an interest in artists such as Sophie Ellis Bextor, Princess Superstar, and Bloc Party, the vinyl has gained an entirely different level of attention due to its bizarre design.

Bad World has successfully managed to create a buzz around its new vinyl release, and fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. With vinyl sales increasing steadily over the years, companies like Bad World have taken the initiative of creating unique designs to pique the interest of fans, and so far, they seem to be succeeding. As more and more people become collectors, new designs will be even more essential, making every piece of vinyl as valuable as the music it contains.

Bad World is surely going to ruffle the feathers in the market, and with innovative companies popping up every day, it is only a matter of time before the vinyl industry breaks into more creative and imaginative products. As for now, Bad World has set a new precedent for vinyl designs, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for it
