Richard Gadd’s Netflix series, “Baby Reindeer,” which purported to tell the true story of Gadd’s experience of being stalked by an older woman, has been one of the most talked-about shows of 2021. Despite the fact that Gadd plays Donny Dunn, not Richard Gadd, and the fact that the woman who inspired the character of Martha in the show is not Fiona Harvey, many viewers have tried to figure out the real identities of the show’s characters. This led Harvey, who claims to be the real Martha, to come forward and threaten legal action against Gadd.
Harvey, who has denied many aspects of the show’s narrative, including that she stalked Gadd and attacked his girlfriend, recently appeared on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” to refute claims made about her in the show. She also denied being convicted of any charges, which is the fate that befalls Martha in the show. Recently, lawyer Laura Wray claimed that she too had been stalked by Harvey, who denied Wray’s allegations.
Gadd has urged viewers to stop trying to work out the real-life identity of Martha, saying that “that’s not the point of the show.” So, what is Gadd’s next project? His next chance to be seen will be in the new short film, “Truth Serum.” As reported by Variety, the piece has been picked up by short film streaming service Omeleto and will be available to watch from June 17. Gadd is also currently filming the drama “Lions,” a six-part series about two men over the course of a number of decades, which will be broadcast on the BBC
