Alice Cooper, the legendary rock artist, has announced his latest bid to run for presidency in the United States, saying he has absolutely no idea what to do, so he should fit right in. Those interested in his campaign can sign up to receive updates on his campaign website, AliceForPresident.com.
This isn’t the first time Cooper has thrown himself into the ring for candidacy. He has run in some shape or form every four years since his 1972 release of “Elected.” Notably, Cooper ran in 2016 for both the UK prime minister and the USA presidency with a manifesto that included putting Lemmy on Mount Rushmore and Peter Sellers on £20 note.
This time around, Cooper has released a campaign video in which he says “Well, I’m Alice Cooper, and I’m a troubled man for troubled times. I have absolutely no idea what to do, so I should fit right in.”
Cooper is also heading to the UK this autumn for his “Too Close for Comfort” tour. Accompanying Cooper will be Primal Scream as special guests (except on London dates), and The Meffs as regular guests.
