Anime fans around the world eagerly await the last episode of the fourth season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba which is due to air soon. This season, which commenced on May 12th, is available for UK audiences on Crunchyroll. Its sixth and final episode, called ‘The Strongest of the Demon Slayer Corps’, will be screened on June 16th.

Based on Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga series published under Shueisha’s Jump Comics imprint, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has 23 volumes and has been exceptionally popular, selling over 150 million copies worldwide. The anime adaptation’s initial series, Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc and its subsequent 2020 feature film, Mugen Train earned over $450million at the box office. Mugen Train was the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time and received critical acclaims. Three other subsequent arcs, Mugen Train, Entertainment District Arc, and Swordsmith Village Arc, are presently streamable on Crunchyroll.

The visitors to the Hashira Training, the highest-ranking swordsmen with the members of the Demon Slayer Corps, prompted the current Hashira Training Arc. The synopsis of the season suggests that this training is the preparation for the last battle against Muzan Kibutsuji. It looks like the next seasons will be much more intensive. The Infinity Castle Arc, the longest in the entire Demon Slayer series, will follow, then the Sunrise Countdown Arc – the saga’s denouement.

Although the official announcement of the fifth season hasn’t been made, it is speculated that this next wave of episodes will air in 2025. The upcoming seasons may be much lengthier and intense, showcasing much more of the Demon Slayer universe. Anime buffs are excited about this and waiting with bated breaths.
