Taylor Swift surprised the audience at her Liverpool concert by debuting a mashup of Calvin Harris’ ‘This Is What You Came For’ and ‘Gold Rush’. The pop star, who was playing her second night at Anfield Stadium as part of her billion-dollar grossing ‘Eras’ tour, stated to the crowd that she always makes sure to think of unexpected things to perform during an acoustic set. She then sang the song she co-wrote with Harris while they were still dating. At the time, Swift had used the pseudonym of Nils Sjöberg, which was later revealed by her and Harris in 2016.

Swift recently announced that the tour would conclude in December after her 100th show. During her Liverpool performance, the pop star thanked her fans for their support throughout the career-spanning tour, acknowledging that it had been an all-encompassing but rewarding experience. After the remaining shows in Liverpool, Swift will travel to Cardiff for a single-night show on June 18 before playing three dates at Wembley Stadium in London between June 18 and June 22. She will then head to Dublin on June 28 before embarking on the European leg of the tour.

NME recently reviewed Swift’s Edinburgh show, giving it a glowing five-star rating. Despite being held in a large arena, the concert managed to foster a sense of community among fans. Strangers were swapping bracelets and bonding over moments from the tour, and Swift has managed to create a show with a beating heart that has inspired fans to come together and embrace being part of the Eras family.
