British band Coldplay is back at it with a new single about to be released from their upcoming album ‘Moon Music’. The song is called ‘feelslikeimfallinginlove’, and snippets of it, along with its title and a release date of June 21, have been shared by the band on Twitter. This marks their first new music since 2019’s double album Everyday Life.
The band’s return to music was first teased on June 7 with a sped-up snippet of the song shared on Instagram. ‘feelslikeimfallinginlove’ will be Coldplay’s 10th studio album, and fans can expect it to be released soon following the new single’s release. Sources indicate the album is “nearly finished”.
Among other things, the band has previously hinted that their decade-long album-making journey will come to a close with the release of their final “proper” album in 2025. Following this, they intend to focus on touring and collaborations. This comes as no surprise as the band has often discussed the challenges of consistently producing new music while keeping up with the increasing demands of an ever-evolving music industry.
Coldplay are also gearing up to headline at Glastonbury Festival this month, and will be making history with their fifth appearance at the Pyramid Stage, having previously performed in 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2016. They are the first act ever to achieve this feat. Other headliners at the festival include Dua Lipa and SZA.
The band has also been making headlines for their sustainability initiatives during their live shows. Their ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour has been found to have generated 59% less CO2 emissions than their previous stadium tour in 2016 and 2017, and they have also succeeded in having 7 million trees planted globally in line with their goal of having one tree planted for every person who attends the tour
