Trampolene’s Jack Jones announces debut solo album with new single, ‘Breathe’

Jack Jones, the frontman for Trampolene, has revealed that he will be releasing his debut solo album on September 20. The album, which will be self-titled, also includes the release of a new single called “Breathe”. Jones is not only known for heading Trampolene, but he is a member of Pete Doherty’s band, The Puta Madres, and a spoken word poet.

According to Jones, his new album will deliver his usual hard-hitting state of the nation poems of existential fear and loathing, but in a contemporary sound as he puts his guitar away. Besides his new album release, Jones has also shared the video for his new single, “Breathe”, directed by Barnaby Fairley. The visuals see Jones dress as an astronaut while walking through the streets of London as people surround him.

Jones’s confessional lyrics have seen him gain fans in The Libertines and Liam Gallagher, both of whom he has supported on tour. He has stated that the idea for “Breathe” came about after his first panic attack, where he prayed to make it through the day and managed to turn it into a message of hope.

Tackling mental health, drug addiction, mortality, and the tortuous demands of technology, the album will be counter-balanced with joy and hope and feature a new contemporary sound. Jack Jones’ album has been created with Doherty’s Strap Originals label and includes eleven tracks.

To further promote his solo album, Jones has announced that he will have a UK headline tour in November. Tickets for the tour will be on sale from June 14 at 10 am. In addition to this tour, Jones will also be performing with Trampolene at several festivals throughout the summer, including Glastonbury
