Experimental musician Toro y Moi, real name Chaz Bear, has announced his latest album, ‘Hole Erth,’ which is due to be released on September 6 via Dead Oceans. Alongside the announcement, Bear shared a new single from the album called ‘Tuesday,’ and the rock-tinged music video can be viewed on his social media channels. ‘Hole Erth’ fuses together anthemic pop-punk and autotuned rap, which are representative of the creative’s past work and musical background.
Bear described the album, saying “I hope you enjoy this suburban anthem. Growing up, the often-controversial line between mainstream and underground artists was so defined but now that line has become so blurred I can’t even tell what I like anymore…sometimes.” The album has nine unique tracks including collaborations with artists like Death Cab For Cutie and The Postal Service’s Benjamin Gibbard, Brockhampton’s Kevin Abstract, Glaive, Don Toliver, and Porches.
The album is available for pre-save on Apple Music with the full tracklist below:

Toro y Moi has made waves in the experimental music industry and continues to innovate with each album release. His most recent album, 2022’s ‘Mahal,’ showcased the musician’s range and creativity, and Dhruva Balram praised him as an artist, stating “Chaz borrows multiple elements to create something wholly unique, skating through sounds to create a genre pastiche to suit every taste.”
