Nick Pasqual, an actor best known for his role in the popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother, has been arrested by Texan authorities on charges of attempted murder, burglary, and domestic violence. Pasqual is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend, Allie Shehorn, more than 20 times in Los Angeles, and was reportedly attempting to flee to Mexico when he was apprehended by authorities. According to reports, he is currently being held at the remote Hudspeth County Jail in Sierra Blanca while awaiting extradition back to California.
While Pasqual’s spokesperson has not yet released a statement, a representative from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office expressed condemnation of the actor’s alleged actions. “This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence,” they noted. “We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”
Shehorn, a professional makeup artist, had reportedly filed a restraining order against Pasqual just days before the attack, and the actor had previously been arrested for a domestic violence-related charge against Shehorn. Thankfully, Shehorn was rescued and rushed to a Los Angeles hospital by her “adopted mum” Christine White, where she is currently still recovering from her injuries but has now left the ICU.
If convicted of his charges, Pasqual could face life imprisonment. Until then, he remains behind bars at Hudspeth County Jail, a situation which does not seem likely to change soon, according to a spokesperson for the District Attorney’s office. “He’s still here and no extradition date has been set yet,” they said. “He’ll be here until he goes back to LA but we haven’t heard anything yet.”
Pasqual has also appeared in films such as Rebel Moon, American Gangster: Trap Queens, and America’s Most Wanted
