Howard University in Washington D.C. has stripped Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of his honorary degree, which was conferred on him in 2014, following several allegations against the rapper in recent months. In addition to revoking his degree, the university will terminate a scholarship in his name and end a 2016 “gift agreement”. The decision was due to his behaviour in a video that was published by CNN in which he was seen attacking his ex-partner and R&B singer, Cassie Ventura. The university said his behaviour was “fundamentally incompatible with Howard University’s core values and beliefs.”
Combs, who has not responded to the situation, was previously accused by Ventura of physical and sexual abuse which was denied by the rapper. These allegations were settled a day after the lawsuit was filed.
