Andrea Bocelli is set to headline British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park concert series in London on July 5th, 2024. It will be the first time a classical musician has headlined the festival. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of his career, his performance will include special guests Hans Zimmer, Seal, Zucchero, Loren Allred, Joaquina, Andrea Griminelli, Rusanda Panfili, and Bocelli’s 12-year-old daughter, Virginia. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will also be present under the direction of Michele Spotti, and dancers Angelica Gismondo and Francesco Costa will add to the entertainment.
BST concert series also features headliners, SZA (June 29), Kings of Leon (June 30), Morgan Wallen (July 4), Robbie Williams (July 6), Shania Twain (July 7), Stevie Nicks (July 12), Kylie Minogue (July 13) and Stray Kids (July 14). In the announcement post that showed the confirmed additions to the line-up, Bocelli noted that Hyde park will be the perfect place to “celebrate my 30th anniversary and reimagine it as a springboard propelling us into the future, imbued with positivity, and the power of good”. He also promised that “celebrating it here is sure to be unforgettable, in the vast green lung from which London has been drawing breath for hundreds of years, in this park that is the embodiment of a glorious chapter in the history of a nation, of a continent, of a civilization… and also of so much wonderful music that has rung out here, nourishing it in its wake.”
The BST Hyde Park concert series has been expanded to two weekends with diverse artists and different musical genres. The concert tickets are available on Ticketmaster.
