Download 2024: Here’s the weather forecast

Download Festival 2024 is preparing to kick off next week and is expected to be a wild ride for all rock and metal fans. The Donington Park in Leicestershire will become a hub for metalheads between June 14 and 16, and attendees will get to witness Queens Of The Stone Age, Fall Out Boy, and Avenged Sevenfold headline the festival’s main stage.

Joining in on the festival’s celebrations will also be other remarkable acts such as Royal Blood, The Offspring, Machine Head, Pantera, Corey Taylor, While She Sleeps, Sum 41, Billy Talent, The Used, Babymetal, and Bowling For Soup.

BBC’s weather forecast indicated that festival-goers could expect a weekend with temperatures peaking between 19° and 20°, along with a mixture of gentle breezes, thunder showers and a light sprinkle of rain sprinkled throughout the event.

To avoid a repeat of the “unprecedented” congestion that occurred last year, Download Festival organizers have issued new traffic advice for the visitors. Meanwhile, the festival boss, Andy Copping, teased a “big band” performing a surprise set at this year’s event.

“Something very, very special. Big band. So look out for that,” added the boss in a recent interview. Funeral For A Friend also recently replaced Bad Omens on the Download ’24 line-up. The latter band pulled out last month due to frontman Noah Sebastian suffering from “extreme burnout”.
