Irish singers Jedward made a surprise appearance on stage with Thirty Seconds To Mars during the band’s performance at London’s O2 Arena. Jared Leto invited a handful of audience members, including one of the twins, on stage to join in on a rendition of the band’s 2018 track ‘Rescue Me’. Fans took to social media to express their surprise and confusion, with many sharing clips and images of the moment. Thirty Seconds To Mars is currently on a tour across the UK and Europe as part of their seventh world tour.
Originally set to take place in April, the London show was rescheduled after the SAG-AFTRA Actors’ strike delayed frontman Jared Leto’s filming schedule. The altered dates have affected other shows on the tour. The band opened the O2 Arena concert with ‘Up In The Air’, ‘Kings And Queens’ and ‘Walk On Water’ before inviting audience members, including Jedward, onstage for ‘Rescue Me’. The setlist also featured their latest album, ‘It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day’.
Leto announced the band’s tour, their first in over five years, back in November by climbing the Empire State Building to celebrate the announcement. Earlier this year, he divided fans’ opinions with an unconventional introduction to the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Jedward criticised former manager Louis Walsh, who previously branded them as “vile” on Celebrity Big Brother, and collaborated with Irish singer CMAT
