A 19-year-old man named Rashane Douglas from Jade Place in Huddersfield has been convicted of killing two men outside a nightclub in Halifax. Joshua Clark, who was 21, and Haidar Shah, who was 19, were killed by the defendant on 1 October last year outside Maggie’s on Commercial Street. The trial, held at Bradford Crown Court, revealed Douglas started the fight after a disagreement over a woman. Another man, Yaseen Iqbal, resident of Hall Bower in Huddersfield, was accused of helping the defendant. He organised transport from the spot and let Douglas stay at his residence, subsequently disposing of his clothes. However, he was later sentenced to 12 months at a young offenders institution, having been found guilty of assisting an offender.
