FISHER pulls out of Parklife headline slot due to wife’s pregnancy

Fisher, the Australian DJ and producer, has cancelled his headline slot at Manchester’s Parklife Festival due to his wife’s pregnancy. In a statement released on Twitter, Fisher explained that his wife Chloe had experienced some “hiccups” with her pregnancy, and their doctor had recommended that Fisher stay close to home during this time of uncertainty. Chloe’s due date is later in June, but the unborn child had other plans.

Under Construction, the duo made up of Fisher and Chris Lake, were due to perform a headline set at the festival’s Hangar stage, which would have been their only performance in Europe in 2024. As yet, no replacement has been announced for the duo. The festival passed on their best wishes to Fisher on his imminent fatherhood and said that further details on programming would be announced in the coming days.

Parklife Festival 2024 is taking place this weekend in Manchester’s Heaton Park, with Doja Cat, J Hus, and Disclosure among the bill toppers. Disclosure’s performance is marking the duo’s only UK festival appearance in 2024. The festival’s full line-up can be found on their Instagram page.
