Eminem has recently released ‘Houdini’, the first single from his upcoming album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)’. The album has no release date as of now, however, it is anticipated to be released sometime this Summer. The initial track features a music video that portrays elements of his famous ‘Without Me’ music video, which includes a cameo of famed artists such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Pete Davidson. The music video also features Eminem’s iconic blonde look from the initial stage of his career.
The next album will be Eminem’s first album with new music since he lent a verse for Juice WRLD and Benny Blanco’s song ‘Lace It’ last December. The rapper has worked alongside Dr. Dre to produce several anonymous tracks on the album. Dr. Dre revealed earlier this year that the rapper is indeed working on a new album and that he has been onboarded to work on the production aspect. The album is said to have “fire” tracks, according to Dr. Dre.
Eminem’s earlier album, ‘Music To Be Murdered By’, was granted a three-star review by NME, which stated, “Eminem’s discography once looked lopsided, youthful iconoclasm dissipating into creative exhaustion. But now it comes across as a little more interesting.” The article further questioned if he should “continue to grow old disgracefully or cut the stately figure he adopts on the moving and impactful pro-gun control track ‘Darkness’?” No further information about the upcoming album has been shared, but Eminem’s fans are excited to hear more from him.
The album’s release date is eagerly awaited, and despite the lack of genuine information, it is likely that Eminem’s venture into the rap scene will not disappoint his fans and promises to be a significant trend in the music industry
