Ibiza will welcome a new outdoor venue called 528 Ibiza, which will accommodate up to 6,000 people. The venue will be located in the former zoo once held by The Zoo Project in Benimussa, San Antonio. The first shows will see performances from BBC Radio 1 Dance and Brunch Electronik in July. The venue consists of three stages, The Garden, The Park, and indoour Teatro, which will hold around 1,000 people standing. The venue will also host events on its Terrace, which has a capacity of 1,000.
According to Andy McKay, CEO of the Ibiza Rocks Group (IRG), 528 Ibiza is a “one-of-a-kind” venue “with the ability to curate both world-class events and intimate occasions infused in Ibiza’s nature.” It will host a one-off orchestral performance this Saturday, The Eivissa Daurada Concerts, by Candlelight, featuring music from Ludovico Einaudi, Hans Zimmer, and Max Richter on the terrace.
This summer, 528 Ibiza will also host three shows by Brunch Elektronik, featuring Adriatique, Pole Position, and Khenya, and a BBC Radio 1 takeover on August 2 with Armand Van Helden, CamelPhat, and LF System. To showcase the venue’s multi-use capability, the venue will host events not limited to electronic music.
The IRG has described the venue as a versatile space with multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, providing elevated views towards the golden sunset nestled among scenic hills, untouched farmlands, and fragrant lemon orchards. To find out more about 528 Ibiza’s summer programming, click here
