Amyl & The Sniffers will embark on a UK and European tour in 2024, with the first show scheduled for November 5 at the National Stadium in Dublin. The band will then travel to Glasgow, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, and London before heading to Brussels, Cologne, Copenhagen, Berlin, Munich, Lausanne, and Athens, where they will conclude their tour on November 29 at Floyd. Fans can sign up for the band’s mailing list to access a ticket pre-sale on May 29 at 10am local time. General ticket sales will begin on May 31 at 10am local time.
In addition to their upcoming tour, Amyl & The Sniffers recently released a new single, “U Should Not Be Doing That,” alongside a B-side called “Facts.” This marked the band’s first new music in three years, following the release of their second album, Comfort To Me, in 2021.
Comfort To Me addressed the political issues Australians faced in the summer of 2019. In an interview with NME, lead singer Amy Taylor spoke about the song “Capital”: “We’re all getting taxed to buggery and getting nothing in return. In bushfire season he gave nobody a helping hand… Indigenous incarceration rates are off the fucking Richter scale.” NME praised the album, noting that “there’s far more to [the band] than just [pub rock].”
Amyl & The Sniffers have also been announced for the Primavera Festival lineup this year, alongside Lana Del Rey, Pulp, The National, FKA Twigs, SZA, Disclosure, and more
