Over the weekend, Ed Sheeran surprised fans at BottleRock Napa Valley 2024 by making an appearance during The Offspring’s set. Sheeran joined the band onstage for a performance of “Million Miles Away” from their 2000 album “Conspiracy of One.” It was the first time the song was performed live since 2016, according to Setlist.FM. Dexter Holland, the frontman of The Offspring, introduced Sheeran to the audience and revealed that one of their records was the first CD he ever bought as a child, a statement that meant a lot to the band.

In an Instagram post, Sheeran discussed how “Million Miles Away” was the first Offspring song he ever heard, and how he used to pretend to be in the band when he was nine years old. Sheeran expressed his gratitude for the experience and thanked The Offspring for letting him live out a childhood dream.
In other news, Sheeran recently confirmed that he was working on new music, though he stated it would be a while before it was released. He released two studio albums last year titled “-“, and “Autumn Variations.” Over the past month, Sheeran has played a surprise live set at a primary school in Brighton and performed old favorites and rarities at his ‘X’ 10th anniversary show in New York.
Meanwhile, The Offspring will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of their 1994 full-length album “Smash” with a special show in California. Earlier this month, Queen’s Brian May joined The Offspring on stage at a festival in Slovakia
