Vudu, a club in Amman, Jordan has ventured into launching its own offshoot label called Vudu Amman. The first V/A from the new imprint has been announced, featuring a blend of melodic house, afro house, and sounds from across the club music spectrum that reflects the club’s and label’s vibrancy, and is headed up by DO and Fairplay.
The sonic deep dive showcases artists such as Phonique, Vidi, Nhii, Alican, and Marco Resmann alongside the co-founders. Through the imprint, Vudu Amman intends to highlight artists from Jordan and beyond who share Vudu’s vision of bridging worlds with music. The compilation will feature individual unique perspectives and heritage within each track.
“Starting a label is something we had planned for a while,” explained Fairplay. “With Vudu Amman, it definitely felt like the right time to embark on this path. We’ve got an incredible team, and all the talented artists on this journey have made it so rewarding. What started as a few parties has turned into a whole community and powerhouse that work together to create and produce stuff that inspires us all. We can’t wait to see where this path leads us.”
