Four injured after clash between Iran protesters in London

A pro-Iranian group clashed with anti-Iran government protestors in north-west London on Friday, which resulted in four people being injured and one person arrested. The Metropolitan Police were called at 18:21 BST to Alperton Lane in Wembley following reports of disorder. The events were to mark the death of President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday, along with the country’s foreign minister and six others.

Reportedly, clashes broke out between the two groups outside the venue, which led to the intervention of police officials and London ambulance services paramedics. The spokesperson stated that four people were hurt, and they received non-life threatening injuries. The team arrested one person on the grounds of violent disorder.

A dispersal order has been issued by the Metropolitan Police that requires the involved parties to leave the area. The order will stay in force until 3:00 a.m on Saturday morning
