Disney+ is set to release a four-part documentary series titled “Camden” that will go behind the scenes with some of the world’s biggest artists, revealing how Camden in London shaped their lives and careers. Executive produced by Dua Lipa, the series will feature archive footage, interviews, and observational filming with the likes of Chris Martin, The Libertines, Yungblud, Little Simz, and Nile Rodgers. The show is set to premiere on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu in the US on May 29th.

The recently shared trailer for “Camden” is soundtracked by The Libertines’ classic song, “Don’t Look Back Into The Sun”. An emotional tribute to Camden, it shows Dua Lipa in a local record shop, The Libertines, and Pete Doherty recalling a past run-in with Liam Gallagher. Other celebrity appearances include Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Noel Gallagher, Mark Ronson, Boy George, and Lauren Laverne.

Director Asif Kapadia is the director of the series, with Toby Trackman, Yemi Bamiro, and Sarah Lambert directing the individual episodes. The documentary is produced by Lightbox, founded by Simon Chinn and Jonathan Chinn and co-founded by Nick Shymansky, Amy Winehouse’s original manager. Additionally, Lipa’s Radical22 co-produced the series.

In a statement, Lipa said, “Executive producing the new original documentary series that celebrates the very place I started all of this is such a major full circle moment for me! Camden will always have a special place in my heart, and I’m humbled to share that with some absolute icons.” Lipa is set to headline Glastonbury Festival 2024 next month alongside Coldplay and SZA. She recently shared that she had “manifested” topping the Pyramid Stage “by album three”. As a result, she’s reportedly planning to feature footage from the festival in an upcoming documentary film
