Jake Bongiovi, the son of the legendary musician Jon Bon Jovi, is making his acting debut in a new comedy film centered around an ’80s hair metal band. Titled “Rockbottom,” the film is available now on Prime Video and follows a fictional band called CougarSnake that was once hugely popular in the ’80s but forgotten by the present day.
The band’s reunion is triggered by a shoutout from a huge Gen Z music star in the show, Bryce Cooper, portrayed by Brandon Butler, causing a frenzy among fans. The movie follows the reassembled band as they attempt to reclaim their previous glory.
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Jon Bon Jovi discussed his uncertain future with live performance. Despite undergoing surgery for his ailing vocal cords in 2022 and regularly participating in vocal therapy, the artist remains unsure whether he can perform for two and a half hours a night, four nights a week. Bon Jovi shared that if he is unable to be the singer he once was, he is willing to call it a day and retire.
Bon Jovi and his band have recently released their 16th studio album, “Forever,” which is described as “a return to joy” and is scheduled to be released on June 7, 2024.
Although Jake Bongiovi is the son of a legendary musician, he is beginning to carve his own path in the entertainment industry. It will be exciting to see where his career takes him in the future
