Camden Courtyard, the team behind the Electric Ballroom in London, has announced the opening of a new 300-capacity music venue this July. The open-air location will provide an opportunity for guests to drink, dine, and dance in the same location. It will also feature live acts, DJs, bands, and branded nights from various event planners. The venue is built by Fables Creative, which is behind several stages, including Gottwood, GALA, and Waterworks. The company has built a high-specification Martin Audio soundsystem for the venue, which promises excellent sound quality for its patrons.

The new location, which sits next to the Electric Ballroom in Camden Town, will serve frozen slushy cocktails from Wray & Nephew, beer, wine, pitchers, and food from Pizza & Dumplings. The menu includes various cocktails, including a curry cocktail called Curry Chasing and Margaritas. “The venue will offer something new for Camden, an area that has surprisingly few open-air locations for drinking, dining, and dancing,” said Kate Fuller, the owner of Electric Ballroom and Camden Courtyard. “We’re working with a great selection of forward-thinking promoters, DJs and food & drink brands and we can’t wait to welcome new faces and regulars alike.”

The launch of the new venue is planned for July 4th, and the venue is expected to be a significant asset to Camden. Electric Ballroom, which was established in 1938, has been in Camden for almost a century and has showcased numerous bands such as The Clash, Joy Division, Blur, Public Enemy, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and The Smiths. Camden has surprisingly few open-air locations for drinking, dancing or dining; thus, Camden Courtyard’s new location would make a welcome addition to the area, said Fuller.
