Pitbull’s song ‘Give Me Everything’ has made a comeback thanks to the latest season of Bridgerton. The third season of the show has been received warmly by fans worldwide, and one of the highlights of the season is undoubtedly the use of Pitbull’s popular song. In a steamy sex scene between Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (played by Luke Newton), an orchestral version of the song is used as background music.
In response to his song’s use in the show, Pitbull expressed his delight at the resurgent popularity of his song. “This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries more so how a hit song can remain timeless,” he wrote on Instagram. Ne-Yo and Afrojack, who collaborated with Pitbull on the song, were also thanked, alongside Netflix and the Bridgerton team for the opportunity.
Despite being shocked at the song’s use, music director Justin Kamps reportedly praised the choice. “The song is amazing, and it has this great build to it, and that’s what the scene really needed. It needed this anticipation and then an explosion into the main chorus of the song as we see what’s happening on screen,” he said in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum.
Bridgerton season three premiered on Netflix on May 16, with the last four episodes of the season scheduled to premiere on June 13. Fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting the rest of the season to see how the show progresses. In a review of the season, NME praised the show for being playful and progressive but noted that it still relies on tired tropes like the need to beget a male son and heir.
