‘Game Of Thrones’ star Kit Harington joins ‘Industry’ cast

Kit Harington, known for his role in Game of Thrones, is set to join the cast of Industry’s third season, which will be released later this year. The BBC show will premiere in the US on HBO. Harington will play Lord Henry Muck, a British aristocrat known for his old-money privilege. The show follows young bankers at a prestigious investment bank in London. Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, and Myha’la will also be returning to the show.

According to a synopsis of season three, Pierpoint & Co, the investment bank, will bet on ethical investing. Yasmin, Robert, and Eric find themselves at the center of Lumi’s splashy IPO, a green tech energy company, led by Lord Muck. Kathleen McCaffrey, senior vice president of HBO Programming, said that “Industry reached new heights in season two, cementing its status as a buzzy hit with addictive storytelling, layered characters, a breakneck pace, and keen observations about contemporary workplace dynamics.”

He explained that the show increased the challenge of managing his ADHD symptoms and led him to drink excessively. “People would treat me like the character, who was a hero and good,” he said. “But in my life, personally I didn’t feel like that at all. And that, I think, [led to] some kind of psychological scarring.

“I was drinking a lot. I was going through addiction and everything that entails and hiding things and all sorts. And that was the polar opposite of the character I was playing, who couldn’t tell a lie.” People expected him to be like Snow, he said. “The disappointment shows in their face the minute you start talking.
