A new 5,000 capacity warehouse venue is opening in New York

Brooklyn is about the get a massive new cultural and arts space, courtesy of events and festival promoters, Broadwick Live. In partnership with US design firm TCE Presents, the space will occupy 104,000 square feet and is located within Brooklyn Navy Yard. The Brooklyn Storehouse will feature set builds, innovative, experience-driven music shows, immersive art exhibitions, brand activations, summits, and fashion shows. The new space is billed as an important and bold venue opening for Broadwick Live.

Broadwick Live, based in the UK and boasting over 30 entertainment spaces, is known for its unconventional and refreshing approach to reviving challenging industrial spaces. According to Luke Huxham, director of development and place at Broadwick Live, the company has a “fluid and flexible approach” to redefining industrial spaces and creating new centers of cultural gravity. The agency takes pride in transforming spaces into environments filled with forward-thinking content, one-offs, and world firsts.

The new Brooklyn Storehouse was designed with sustainability in mind, and with a focus on enhancing and adding new layers to the space rather than over-designing. The new venue will serve as a new transatlantic partnership between Broadwick Live and TCE Presents. The latter is a leading US nightlife operation that produces more than 150 shows annually, led by Teksupport and working with promoters such as CircoLoco and Time Warp.

While more details about the programming are yet to be unveiled, the opening of the new cultural and arts space marks another milestone for Broadwick Live, which has contributed significantly to the revival of akin industrial spaces in London. Brooklyn Storehouse will welcome mega-names such as Justice, Charlotte de Witte, and Eric Prydz, among many others. The venue will no doubt solidify Broadwick Live’s commitment to redefining industrial spaces and how people experience culture around the world.
