Matt Bellamy, the lead vocalist and guitarist of Muse, has announced that he and his partner Elle Evans have welcomed their second child into the world. The baby boy has been named George, in honour of Bellamy’s father, George Bellamy. George Bellamy found fame in the ’60s as the rhythm guitarist of pop band The Tornados, the first English band to have a number one single in the US charts thanks to their famous hit song ‘Telstar’. Bellamy’s partner shared that she is “recovering well,” and both parents are basking in “heavenly bliss” with the newborn. The couple began dating in 2015 and tied the knot in 2019.
In other news, Bellamy recently recorded a score for an Audible version of George Orwell’s dystopian classic, “1984.” It also comes after Bellamy claimed in 2009 that Muse cited “1984” as a major influence for the creation of their fifth album, “The Resistance,” and then compared Trump’s America to the book back in 2017.
Muse wrapped up their string of UK live shows in the latter half of 2023 and made headlines after Bellamy smashed his guitar and gifted it to a fan at a gig in London. His partner has expressed gratitude towards her “perfect husband” and ended the post saying, “It’s an honour to bring another brilliant Bellamy into existence.
