Music fans in Australia have been blessed with a plethora of new music releases in 2024 from some of the biggest stars both at home and abroad. 2025 is shaping up to be no exception to this trend, with a host of hot-ticket events taking place across the country throughout the year. From international pop acts embarking on massive stadium tours to the return of star-studded festivals, there’s plenty to look forward to in 2025.
Beloved British rockers You Me At Six will be bringing their farewell tour to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth from January 24 – January 31. Following the announcement of their split after 20 years as a band, the tour promises to be a decades-spanning, two-hour performance. Holding Absence will join them for their Australian shows.
Fresh off the surprise release of Atavista, a reimagination of his 2020 album 3.15.20, Childish Gambino is also set to perform on Australian shores from February 1-February 11. Joined by Amaarae for all dates, he will perform at Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, and Perth’s RAC Arena.
Heading Down Under for the first time since 1987, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark will make their triumphant return in February 2025. The electro-synth band’s seven-date tour will include a career-spanning setlist of both their ’80s hits and tracks from their most recent album, ‘Bauhaus Staircase,’ performing at Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium, two back-to-back shows at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Adelaide, two sets at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre, and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall.
