In their first reunion on-screen since 2016, Bae Suzy and Kim Woo-bin have been cast in an upcoming Netflix original series called All The Love You Wish For. The series has been described as a “romantic comedy” which will follow Ka-young and a genie who awakens after a thousand years. The series will depict the conflicts that arise between the two characters as the genie grants Ka-young three wishes.
Lee Byeong-heon, director of the acclaimed Chicken Nugget, will direct the series, while writer Kim Eun-sook of The Glory fame is behind the script. The series will also star Ahn Eun-jin (Hospital Playlist), Noh Sang-hyun (Behind Every Star), Ko Kyu-phil (Crash Landing on You), and Lee Zoo-young (Believer).
Last year, Bae Suzy starred in Netflix K-drama, Doona!. The series received a glowing four-star review from NME, which called it “an emotionally visceral, refreshingly grounded story of two young, naïve, troubled people who fall in love at the wrong place and the wrong time”. Kim Woo-bin’s previous TV role was as the lead in the sci-fi Netflix K-drama, Black Knight which received a mixed review from NME.
The announcement was made via Netflix’s K-Content account on X (formerly Twitter), where fans have expressed their excitement about the new series. All The Love You Wish For is already creating buzz due to the reunion of Bae Suzy and Kim Woo-bin, with many wondering how the duo will portray their characters’ relationship on-screen
