Slash says Guns N’ Roses are “trying” to make a new album

Guns N’ Roses are working on a possible new album, says Slash. The relationship between Slash and Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has been rocky in years past, but the two seem to be getting on. Slash recently dropped his blues album called Orgy of the Damned and has promised a wealth of celebrity collaborations. The album features several talented musicians, including Iggy Pop, Chris Stapleton, Demi Lovato, Paul Rodgers, Beth Hart, and Gary Clark Jr. It also includes blues classics such as “Crossroad Blues,” “Born Under a Bad Sign,” and “Hoochie Coochie Man.”

He explained that this is why he didn’t invite Rose to collaborate on his latest album: “It was my own side thing, so I wasn’t dragging my own guys in.” In a recent world tour with Myles Kennedy & The Co-Conspirators, the guitarist invited Wolfgang Van Halen as a guest performer at the band’s final show in Paris for an explosive cover of AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell.”

Finally, Slash appeared on stage at the Oscars with Ryan Gosling in March for a performance of “I’m Just Ken” from the upcoming live-action Barbie movie. Once again, he was joined by Wolfgang Van Halen to deliver an epic guitar solo that left the crowd in awe
